Information Technology Strategy

Business Requirements - Sandstone Services were engaged to prepare an Information Technology Strategy. The Strategy focused on the following issues:

  • Integrity of core systems
  • Quality and accuracy of information
  • Clarity of roles across the organisation regarding the management and delivery of IT services
  • Performance of the IT Group delivering quality services
  • Ability to engage and extract value from external service providers
  • Capability to manage and implement IT programs to meet requirements within financial limits

he Strategy outlined a implementation plan which included:

  • Restructure of the IT Group on the basis of the business’s strategic objectives and operational requirements,
  • A sourcing strategy which led to an assessment of in-house skills and subsequent resource planning
  • The implementation of a service based culture, underpinned by defined service levels with the business and vendors
  • A change management plan and process to support the realisation of the IT strategy
  • The introduction of a governance structure and processes that had oversight of the IT Transformation program and ongoing operation
